Hot Bread….Broken!

In a previous article, “Hot Bread,” we talked about the need to get the now Word. You know, the one that the FATHER is breathing out now about you, your circumstances, your nation. Do read “Hot Bread.”

Often times we have an acquaintance with the Word, but not a revelation of it.  It happens when we worship, pray and then thump through the Bible looking for a scripture that speaks to us. Sometimes, thankfully, we are lured by the inviting aroma of “Hot Bread.”

You look at the Word. “Wow! I don’t get it, but there is something really awesome here!”  Inside you burns an inexplicable hunger pang. Your mind fails to grasp it. It’s Hot Bread! Yes! Yum!

Still…you don’t get it.  I guess that’s why they say “you can’t have your “bread” and eat it too.”  Just imagine the men on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35). The Living WORD walked with them for 7 miles unrevealed. HE spoke the scriptures to them for miles as they moped over what they thought JESUS would have done or become. Bummer!

Upon reaching Emmaus, our colourful Christ suggested that HIS journey would continue beyond their stop.  “Oh no!” They were burning inside for this unveiled bread. So what did they do? Of course they invited HIM for deeper fellowship. Hmmmn… What if they did not press HIM for more?

So they gathered around a meal and our LORD took bread through HIS usual process: take it, bless it, break it and give it. {Expounded on in “Forming Faith: Owning My Christianity” http://www.amazon.com/Forming-Faith-Owning-my-Christianity/dp/1523397195/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1459894442&sr=1-1&keywords=Tania+Case}

No soon as the bread was broken, they saw JESUS!! Revelation! What joy when we see HIM between the pages! This is when the word becomes the Living WORD!

Likewise, our hearts burn gazing at a Word that HE is waiting to illuminate if we would be   still and bid HIM  to come and open the eyes of our understanding.  Remember, it is those who seek HIM will find HIM after searching with all our hearts. Let’s pray verse 45 “Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.” Let’s go beyond acquaintance with the Word to revelation of the WORD. By the help of the HOLY SPIRIT we will, since HE leads us into all truth. So have your Hot bread, broken and eat it too.
